James J. Sullos Jr., the President of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., and Cathy Wilbanks, the Archivist of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., answered some questions about how Burroughs’ novel A Princess of Mars was transformed into the film John Carter. The film is available on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on June 5, 2012.
On April Fools Day, Fat Guy Kevin Carr joined in the fun at Film School Rejects to take the web site into the new world of print media. Part of this included some editorial cartoons, including the ones featured above and below. Enjoy!
This Week: Being that Kevin is an expert on hunger, which is something he feels when he isn’t able to stuff his face for an hour or so, he eagerly awaits a discussion of the new film The Hunger Games. Also, since Kevin has no time to read anything more than picture books (because you’ll remember he read The Lorax several weeks ago), he invites Film School Rejects’ Associate Editor Kate Erbland into the Magical Studio in the Sky to discuss the book and film. They also give some restrained box office predictions and lay down a Fat Guy Five about movies that involve fighting to the death. Are you not entertained?

This Week: Kevin heads back to the editorial board of Film School Rejects to bring resident rage-meister Robert Fure into the Magical Studio in the Sky. They talk about the merits of skinny Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street as well as what the holy hell is happening in Casa De Mi Padre. They also wax poetic about the new Doritos Tacos Locos from Taco Bell and give an in-depth analysis of the misconceptions surrounding John Carter. Oh, and there’s some advice on which porn stars to follow on Twitter. Finally, it’s back on the radio for the DVD Round-up, with a brand spankin’ new Skywalker Sound whip effect. Yee-haw!

This Week: Kevin brings back a blast from the past into the Magical Studio in the Sky. Classic guest host Kristin Dreyer Kramer from NightsAndWeekends.com joins Kevin to talk about John Carter and Silent House, along with the lamentations about A Thousand Words with Eddie Murphy. KDK officially defends Katherine Heigl (at least for one instance) and complains about Ohio drivers in an atypical Ohio winter. They also talk about box office, some Dr. Seuss trivia courtesy of a listener and finally a Fat Guy Five using words to describe Eddie Murphy’s career. Then they wrap things up with the DVD Round-Up and Kevin pollutes KDK’s brain with disturbing imagery.
