This Week: As Kevin girds his loins for the much-anticipated release of The Dark Knight Rises, he invites fellow Film School Reject Brian Salisbury to join him in the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about the latest Batman installment. They also throw down about various fanboy battles, including where they stand on Star Wars, Indiana Jones, M. Night Shyamalan’s career and James Bond theme songs. After dissecting The Dark Knight Rises in a very spoiler-free way (though there might be an Inception spoiler or two in there) before answering a listener email and laying out the Fat Guy Five about overhyped films. Then it’s on to the last segment, where they recommend some DVDs and fly off into the night using their Batarangs.

This Week: It’s the 2011 Big Fat Oscar Special, and Kevin Carr invites FlickChick.tv’s Kelly Gingery into the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about this week’s new releases, even though they didn’t see either of them. Soon they move on to the Super Bowl of movies and talk about whose gonna win the Big Six (plus a couple others) at the Oscars. Kelly and Kevin agree on many things, though there are some debates. They also chat about the box office, respond to a new listerner voice mail (thanks, Chris from Lansing!) and lay down a Fat Guy Five about the most unlikely nominees.

On This Week’s Show: Like the return of the classic science fiction film Tron to theaters, Neil makes a triumphant return to the Magical Studio in the Sky. And as a special Christmas gift to Kevin, he has seen the same number of movies this week. See… Christmas miracles do happen. Full of Yuletide joy, the Fat Guys chat about Dan Akroyd and Justin Timberlake in Yogi Bear, guess about what might happen in How Do You Know, punch their way through award season with The Fighter and enter the grid with Tron: Legacy. Then they talk some box office and throw down a Fat Guy Five about cartoons they want to see get their own live-action/CGI film. The results may surprise you.

On This Week’s Show: Neil has gone on a clandestine mission to our nation’s capital, including a visit to the Pentagon to warn our military of the impending threat of giant alien robots. This leads Kevin to meet up with his chubby co-host in the Magical Studio in the Sky, from an undisclosed location (which may or may not be a jail cell). Together, they travel to the Moon before joining Brüno in saying I Love You, Beth Cooper! Before handing down a Fat Guy Five about awesome movies that take place in space, Neil tries to declare that Michael Bay is an intellectual director while Kevin unleashes some venom on the late and perverse Michael Jackson.
Films Reviewed this Week: Moon, Brüno and I Love You, Beth Cooper.
