This Week: It is a dark time for movie reviewers. Being the middle of February, most of the releases are absolute crap, and the studios haven’t screened them. But that doesn’t stop honey-badger reviewer Kevin Carr from pushing ahead with the Fat Guys at the Movies podcast. He invites Ronald Nicholls from BoxOfficeBuz.com to not review the new films this week, including Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (which was not screened for anyone, and that’s the studio that screened Jack and Jill) and This Means War (which suffered from marketing confusion and botched Valentine’s Day screenings). They also tip their hats to The Secret World of Arrietty, which is probably all kinds of awesome, but Disney didn’t screen it much because it is such a limited release. Kevin and Ron also answer a listener question, talk about the box office and list some of the best Studio Ghibli movies in the Fat Guy Five.
